WOD 2 : (From Dubai With Love) Sponsored by: Grupo Mosh WOD 3: (Get Over It) Sponsored by Electrolit Location: Competition Floor 2 ( SAND ) Workout Flow: **EN CASTELLANO ABAJO *ENGLISH Workouts 2 & 3 are ‘back to back’ workouts. Beginning with workout 2 - Athletes will begin the workout standing over their barbell. On 3-2-1 ‘GO’ athletes will pick up the barbell and work through their 20-20-20 reps of each movement. Once the athlete has completed their final shoulder to overhead the workout is finished and the athlete will have their time recorded. All athletes will rest from minute 4 regardless of whether they have finished the required reps within the time cap or not. On minute 6 athletes will begin with workout 3. Athletes will begin with their hands on the chess piece. On 3-2-1 ‘GO’ athletes will make their way toward the barbell and complete their set of deadlifts, once complete they will head towards the log and complete their set of burpee log overs, following this athletes will move towards the db’s at the far end of the competition floor and complete their set of db thrusters, the final movement for the athletes will once again be the burpee log get overs. Athletes will then make their way back to the chess piece where their time will be recorded by the judge. *CASTELLANO Los entrenamientos 2 y 3 se realizan de manera consecutiva (back to back). Arms, knees, hips must be extended. Shoulders must be behind the bar. Hang squat and split clean are NOT permitted. The athlete needs to reach full extension of the hips and legs in the receiving position of the clean to validate it. The athlete must receive the barbell with the crease of the hips clearly above the top of the knees in the bottom position (above parallel). The athlete can use the “bounce” technique, however, he needs to make sure that arms are fully extended at the beginning of each rep. Front Squats Each set of front squats must begin with the barbell on the ground. The crease of the athlete’s hip must be clearly below the top of the knees at the bottom. The bar must remain in the front-rack position. The hands do NOT need to remain on the bar. A full squat clean is permitted but not required to start the movement. The rep is credited when the athlete’s hips and knees reach full extension while the bar is supported in the front-rack position. Shoulder To Overhead Any style of overhead lift is acceptable (strict press, push press, or jerk). The rep is counted when the athlete’s hips, knees, and arms are extended and the feet are in line. The barbell must be over the middle of the athlete’s body, or slightly behind, when viewed from profile. The athlete may not lower the barbell until they reach the finish position. The barbell must first be lifted to the shoulders, then locked out overhead. Barbell needs to be dropped in front of the body, in other cases the last reps will not count. Potential Penalties If one full foot of the athlete steps outside of the platform, the rep will not count. WOD 3 – “Get Over It” *ENGLISH Burpee Log Get Overs Each rep begins with a burpee where the full chest must clearly touch the sand. The athlete may step back or jump back, the athlete may also step up with one foot or jump up with both feet. The athlete must pass by a support position (Shoulders over the Beam and Arms extended), think of the finishing position of a bar muscle up (just as a reference). From that position, at least one foot (the sole of the foot) must be placed on top of the beam before the athlete passes over to the other side. After getting over the log, the athlete has to show control on the other side before beginning their next rep. Both feet have to touch the floor first before any part of the body, if not the rep will not be credited. Deadlifts The barbell starts on the ground (both plates touching the ground). Hands must be outside the knees. No sumo deadlifts. Any style of grip is permitted. The rep is credited when hips and knees reach full extension, head and shoulders are behind the bar when viewed from the side. Deliberately bouncing the bar is not allowed. DB Thrusters The dumbbells must first be lifted to the shoulders, the crease of the hips must clearly pass below the top of the knees in the bottom position (below parallel), then locked out overhead. The rep is credited when hips, knees, and arms are fully extended. The dumbbells are directly over, or behind, the middle of the body when viewed from the side. NOTE: A squat clean is allowed, but not required, to start a set. Potential Penalties The athlete has to wear shoes to do the work out, in other cases he won’t be able to complete it.

For example, the calories must be fully completed before the barbell can be touched to start the clean and jerks. All reps are to be credited by the judge, if a no rep is given, the rep must be repeated. WORKOUT FLOW Athletes will start on the start/finish mat. On “3,2,1 Go” athletes will make their way to the floor, one athlete will begin on the echo bike to complete the required number of calories. This number stays the same each round. Athletes can swap at any time, or not at all. After the echo bike is completed and credited by the judge, athletes can start working to complete the power clean and jerks. The number increases by three each round. This can be split as desired. The athlete not on the echo bike can be waiting by the barbell, but is not permitted to touch it until the calories are completed. Touch and go reps are permitted. After the power clean and jerks, athletes will move to the rig to complete the synchro toes to bar. This number increases by three each round. Athletes do not have to be on the same bar, but toes must touch the bar at the same time. Once completed, athletes will move back to the echo bike and continue, this time adding three reps to their power clean and jerks and toes to bar. Score is the total number of reps after 12 minutes. MOVEMENT STANDARDS Echo bike There is no minimum work requirement, one athlete could complete all the calories if desired. The machine must be reset to zero every round. Athletes must stay on the bike until the calories are credited complete. Athletes may switch as desired at any point. Power clean and jerk Barbell must start on the floor and be taken to the front rack position in one movement. Any variation of shoulder to overhead is permitted, as long as the rep finishes with arms, hips and knees locked out, and the barbell above the head, not in front. Strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk and squat jerk are all permitted. Athletes may touch and go, but not intentionally bounce the bar off the floor into the next rep Athletes can switch in and out at any point. A muscle clean is permitted but the athlete must not descend into a squat (ie hips below knees) during the power clean.. Synchro toes to bar Athletes must start hanging from the bar with arms fully extended. Both heels must pass behind the plain of the upright rig for the rep to begin. Athletes must touch both feet to the bar inside the hands at the same time. This must also be at the same time as your partner. If both athletes complete a rep but the synchro touch is missed, this will be given as a no rep. MASTERS 100+ The same movement standards apply however the TTB are not synchro. Instead athletes will split the reps as they wish between them - one athlete can perform all the reps if desired.

Your score is the total time taken to complete the workout. TIEBREAK IS THE TIME TAKEN TO FINISH PART A. THRUSTER - The barbell begins on the ground. - The athlete must perform a full front squat, with the hip crease clearly below the top of the knee. - The movement must be one continuous motion. A front squat followed by a push jerk (re-bending of the knees to get under the bar) is not allowed. - The rep is completed only when the knees, hips, and arms are fully extended, with the barbell locked out directly over or slightly behind the middle of the body. - If dropped from overhead, the barbell must settle on the ground before the next rep; it cannot be caught on the bounce. - Collars must be placed outside the plates. CHEST TO BAR PULL UPS - The athlete starts in the full hang position, arms fully extended, feet not touching the ground. - The rep is credited when the chest visibly touches the bar at or below the collarbone. - Any grip (pronated, supinated, or mixed) is allowed. Wrapping tape or using gymnastic grips is permitted, but wearing gloves and using tape simultaneously is not allowed. CHIN OVER BAR PULL UPS - The athlete starts in the full hang position, arms fully extended, feet not touching the ground. - The rep is credited when the chin visibly breaks the horizontal plane of the bar. - Any grip (pronated, supinated, or mixed) is allowed. Wrapping tape or using gymnastic grips is permitted, but wearing gloves and using tape simultaneously is not allowed. JUMPING PULL UPS - The bar height must be set to at least 6 inches above an athlete’s standing head height. - The athlete starts with the arms fully extended. - The rep is credited when the chin visibly breaks the horizontal plane of the bar. - Any grip (pronated, supinated, or mixed) is allowed. Wrapping tape or using gymnastic grips is permitted, but wearing gloves and using tape simultaneously is not allowed. DEADLIFT - Every rep starts with the barbell on the ground. - Hands must be outside of knees, Sumo deadlifts are not allowed. - Arms must be straight throughout, no bouncing - The rep is credited when the hips and knees reach full extension and the head and shoulders are behind the bar. - Collars must be placed outside the plates. STRICT HANDSTAND PRESS UP - Set up a 30-inch tape line 10 inches from the wall to the outside edge of the line. - If the head and hands are on different surfaces, the surfaces must be level (e.g., if the hands are on plates and there is a pad under the head, the top of the pad must be level with the top of the plates). - Each rep starts and finishes in the lockout position with: - Both hands touching the tape line. - Only the heels are against the wall. - Both arms fully extended and shoulders in line with the body. The arms must be fully extended and in line with the body before descending. - At the bottom, the head must make contact with the ground. The head does NOT need to touch the tape line. - Each rep is credited when the athlete returns to the lockout position with - only the heels on the wall, arms, hips and legs fully extended, shoulders in line with the body. STRICT HANDSTAND PRESS UP TO ABMAT -Set up a 2- 2.5 -inch riser, as shown - THIS NEEDS TO BE VIDEOD AND MEASURED. The start and end positions are the same as described for the handstand push-up. - The athlete must touch their head to the riser before returning to the finish position. DOUBLE DUMBBELL PUSH PRESS - The rep starts with the athlete standing tall, knees and hips extended and one head of the dumbbells touching each shoulder. - The rep is credited when the dumbbells are overhead with the knees, hips, and arms are fully extended and the dumbbells locked out directly over or slightly behind the middle of the body.

EVENT 2 In 5 mins find RM clean and jerk EQUIPMENT: - barbell - safety clips - weightlifting plates FLOW: On 3, 2, 1 go we pick up the previously loaded bar from the ground to perform a Clean leading into the Jerk. Multiple tryouts are allowed until the 5 min mark is still running. If the lift started 5 sec before the end of the 5 min mark, if the lift was successful it will be counted. If the lift started 4 sec before the end of the 5 min mark, the lift will be invalid. Your score is your heaviest successful lift done in the 5 min mark of the workout. STANDARDS: The Athlete will move the bar from the ground to the shoulder in one smooth motion. Power variations are allowed. Hang clean is not allowed. The barbell must pass through the front-rack position before going overhead. Snatching is not permitted. The Athlete will then take the bar from the shoulder to overhead. You do NOT need to reach full extension of the hips and legs in the receiving position of the clean before beginning the overhead lift. Strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk are permitted. The rep will be completed when the Athlete stands up to full extension with the barbell fully locked out overhead directly over the middle of the athlete's body, with the arms, hips, and knees extended, and the feet in line under the body. If the feet remain wider than shoulders or not in line with the body (eg. one foot in step forward position) and the bar is dropped, the lift will be invalid. The loaded bar MUST have safety clips on before the lift otherwise the lift will be invalid. THE ATHLETE MUST LOAD AND UNLOAD THE BAR BY HIM/HERSELF! If otherwise, the lift will be invalid. VIDEO SUBMISSION STANDARDS ● State your name, your division, and optional your training box ● Film the bar and plates so the weight can be seen clearly. ● Videos must be uncut and unedited to accurately display the performance. ● Your judge (optional) and a clock or timer must be visible throughout the event. ● Shoot the video so all exercises can be seen clearly meeting the movement standards. ● Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected. ● Do NOT use a countdown timer.
